Light and Color Study
2020
This was created as part of the Theatrical Conventions class. The purpose of this study was to visually represent isolation with light and color. I made different variations to convey different forms of isolation. The photos were made using an iPhone light, tape, a red marker, a white finger light, and an American DJ UV LED Bar.

Light and Mirror Study
2021
This was created as part of the Conversations in Contemporary Theater class. After watching an episode from Abstract: The Art of Design about Es Devlin, our task was to come up with a creative response. I loved how Es was able to break down her elements of design into five simple, understandable steps. One thing that stood out to me from many of Es' projects was her use of mirrors, light, gauze, transparency, and reflections to modify and convey a space. For my creative response, I wanted to try and experiment with these elements myself and how much they can impact a space. Using a couple of extra models I had, I played around with mirrors and lights to see how I could present a space.

Model Making
2020
This was created as part of the Techniques of Design class. Our task was to create three variations of a brick wall and a tree to experiment with different materials and techniques.

For the brick walls, I experimented with wood, foamboard, and airdry clay, using acrylic paint and dry brushing techniques. As for the trees, I used the same mulch base, which included modeling mulch and blended up dead leaves from my backyard. I created three tree bases using wire, flower foam, and a stick I found outside. Finally, I painted everything using acrylic paint.
