CHARLIE JACOBS

This was created as part of the Digital Fabrication for Model Making class at California Institute of the Arts. Our task for this project was to create samples of various textures from real life and output the file so it is ready for laser cutting. After getting reference pictures from real life, I created black and white textures in Adobe Illustrator, ensuring all of the settings and color codes were correct and ready for the laser cutter. After creating the file, I brought the document into Trotec Job Control software to setup the file and engrave the art onto chipboard.
